About ME

Apex Performance Company was built by Brenden Petralia — a New York State licensed massage therapist, NASM certified personal trainer, and national-champion powerlifter specializing in sports massage, recovery, and getting people out of pain.

Brenden knows both sides of the table. As an athlete, he won powerlifting nationals in 2023 at just 22 years old, took third at 2024 nationals in Niagara Falls, and owns an 800 lb raw deadlift. He's bulked to nearly 300 lbs for strength, placed second at his first-ever bodybuilding show, and played collegiate soccer.

But he also knows the other side — being the one in pain. A pec tendon ruptured off the bone and surgically reattached. Bilateral sports hernia surgery. A disc protrusion at L3/L4 compressing the nerve roots in his low back. There was a stretch of his life where getting out of bed hurt, driving hurt — everything hurt, and nobody could help him the way he needed. That's what sent him back to school for massage therapy.

Brenden graduated from the New York College of Health Professions and spent years in a physical therapy office before opening Apex — working with everyone from stroke, MS, and Parkinson's patients to young athletes and 100-year-old grandmothers. He's also a certified SilverSneakers instructor, so every body and every age is welcome on his table.

Now located inside Outlift Athletics in East Setauket, NY, Apex Performance Company offers a hybrid approach for athletes, lifters, and everyday people who want to move better, feel better, recover faster, and perform at a higher level — deep tissue and sports massage, hands-on recovery, mobility, strength training, and practical programs built around each client's goals. No cookie-cutter plans, no fluff.

"Why would you trust someone else to take care of your body when they don't have the discipline to take care of their own?" Brenden holds himself to the standard he asks of every client — and it shows in the work.

Performance. Recovery. Discipline. Real results.
